Welding fume, grinding dust and general airborne contaminants don’t just settle harmlessly once they’re in the air — in a lot of workshops, dealing with that properly is a health and safety obligation rather than a housekeeping preference. This category covers the equipment that captures and filters it: extraction arms, downdraft tables, dust collectors, extraction fans, fume enclosures and industrial vacuum cleaners.
Which piece of kit is right depends entirely on the process generating the contaminant. A welding bay, a grinding station and a general workshop floor each call for a different solution, and combining the wrong equipment with the wrong process is a common way to end up with something that looks right but doesn’t actually perform.
