MultiFilter 3 Bag Wood Dust Extraction Unit MF/3/180

The MultiFilter 3 Bag (MF/3/180) is a freestanding dust extraction unit for softwood, MDF, hardwood and sanding dust: a 5.5 kW three phase fan moving up to 4,250 m³/h through 27 polyester needlefelt sleeves (17 m²) into three collection bags, with automatic shaker cleaning, an ATEX compliant explosion vent and open, closed, weatherproof and reduced noise versions.

The Woodwork Dust Control MultiFilter 3 Bag unit (MF/3/180) is a freestanding dust collector for woodworking shops, furniture makers and wood processing plants handling softwood, MDF, hardwood and sander dust. A 5.5 kW three phase motor on a direct on line starter drives a 381 mm impeller for a maximum airflow of 4,250 m³/h through a 250 mm inlet.

Dust-laden air passes through 27 polyester needlefelt filter sleeves of 350 g material, 17 m² of filter area in total, and the collected dust drops into three polybags below. On the closed sided and weatherproof versions the bags sit in metal bins fixed under the manifold with a flexible sleeve and quick-release clampband. The sleeves are shaken automatically every time the unit is switched off, with a timer for the shaker motor in the control panel, which is supplied unwired.

An explosion vent of 0.162 m² with a deflector is fitted as standard, and the unit is stated as compliant with ATEX regulations. Four versions cover the site: O open sided where there is no explosion risk, CS closed sided where there is, WP weatherproof for external installation and NR for reduced noise. The unit is built from pre-formed galvanised sheet, hole-punched for bolted assembly, measures 2,440 x 1,000 x 2,670 mm and weighs 180 kg, and is delivered partly pre-assembled with panels, shaker frame and sleeves fitted on site.
