Reciprocating Air Compressors

Reciprocating (piston) compressors use a simpler mechanism than rotary screw units and tend to cost less upfront, which makes them a common choice for lower-duty, intermittent use rather than continuous industrial operation.

They generally need more frequent servicing than screw compressors and aren’t the best fit for high duty cycles, but for occasional use in a smaller workshop they can be the more cost-effective option. We can advise whether a reciprocating or rotary screw compressor suits your actual usage pattern better.

We supply, install and service reciprocating compressors alongside the rest of our air compressor range.
