Guyson Multiblast RSB Rotary Spindle and Table Blast Systems

The Guyson Multiblast RSB is an automated blast finishing system for deburring, surface preparation and etching. Its modular design uses a single rotating work spindle, or a turntable rotating on the spindle, to process components with the same consistency and quality as Guyson’s RXS machines in a capable, cost-effective single-piece flow package. With turntable or spindle mounting, fixed or traversing guns and a choice of media recovery systems, it can be configured for almost any shot blasting or peening process, minimising manual intervention and giving repeatable results.

On the rotating spindle, parts up to 300 mm in diameter, 450 mm high and 20 kg turn at 14 to 56 rpm under inverter control. The turntable takes parts up to 750 mm in diameter and 100 kg at 3.5 to 14 rpm, with optional slower speed ranges. Four Guyson Model 900 guns sit on adjustable arms with individual solenoids, and can be fixed or mounted on four horizontal or vertical traversing drives with a 350 mm stroke, while an airwash with a 4.8 mm air jet cleans parts after blasting. PLC/HMI controls, a low air pressure switch and a 1 inch BSP air connection are standard. Media is suction fed and recovered through a CY600/12 cyclone with level sensors, with dust collected by a C800 twin cartridge collector with reverse pulse cleaning and a HEPA14 filter. The cabinet measures 1,510 × 1,300 × 1,990 mm with an 874 × 874 mm front loading door. Typical applications include turbochargers, aerospace MRO, seal rings, medical implants, etching steering arms before bonding and preparing tooling for PVD coating.
