Catch fume before it spreads and you don’t have to filter the whole workshop’s air to deal with it — that’s the logic behind an extraction arm. Positioned close to a welding or grinding station, it pulls contaminated air away at source rather than relying on general ventilation to clear it later.
A bigger arm isn’t automatically better: reach and hood size need to match the actual bench layout and process, or you end up with something bulky that’s awkward to position correctly, which defeats the purpose. We look at where people are actually working before recommending a model.
Arms are usually one component in a wider system alongside a fan and filtration, both of which we can also supply, and we handle the LEV testing needed to show the system is performing to the required standard.
