Champion FM Series Rotary Screw Air Compressors 30-45 kW

The Champion FM Series 30 to 45 kW is part of Champion’s new 30 to 75 kW range of oil-flooded, single-stage rotary screw air compressors, completely redesigned with changes to all parts of the compressor, including the airend, controller and cooling system. Every airend has a semi-integrated design with the oil filter and intake valve built in, a very compact solution that is easy to service and minimises leakage risk through reduced piping and fewer components. The airends are designed and manufactured in-house using the latest CNC rotor grinding machinery with online laser measurement to hold precise tolerances.

The fixed speed FM30, FM37 and FM45 are direct driven with star/delta starting, removing belt transmission losses and maintenance, and come in 8, 10 and 13 bar versions. At 8 bar they deliver 4.87, 6.4 and 7.52 m³/min, and at 13 bar 4.08, 5.05 and 5.4 m³/min. Variable speed FM RS versions are also available. TEFC IE3 motors with IP55 protection are standard, and the optimised cooling system lets the compressor work in ambient temperatures up to 46 °C. Service life is maximised by replacing elastomer and thermoplastic tubing in the pressure lines with stainless steel tubing and zinc-coated steel piping, and panels and doors remove easily for service. The C-PRO 2.0 controller offers Modbus communication, 15 failure records and sequence control for up to eight compressors. The units measure 1,554 × 894 × 1,405 mm, weigh 700 to 850 kg and run at 71 to 72 dB(A). Options include iConn monitoring, food grade oil and a five year extended warranty.
