The Ingersoll Rand IntelliFlow is an electronic flow controller that sits between air supply and demand, using stored air to hold a stable system pressure so you do not need to start extra compressors or raise pressure. Five sizes from 2 to 8 inch, 207 to 19,200 scfm, rated to 200 psig.

The Ingersoll Rand IntelliFlow is an electronic flow controller installed between the compressed air supply and the plant demand. It makes better use of the air storage in the system and responds continuously to changes in demand, stabilising system pressure and removing the need to turn on extra compressors or run the system at elevated pressure. Ingersoll Rand’s own figures show why that matters: in a nominal 100 psig system, raising the pressure by 15 psig uses roughly 10 to 12% more compressed air and about 7.5% more energy to compress it.
Three control modes are available. Forward system control uses storage dynamically and increases flow to stabilise pressure; backpressure control prioritises pressure-critical processes or zones; combination control switches between the two on user-defined set points. Electronic control, mounted dual pressure sensors, multiple pressure set points and auxiliary contacts are standard, and the unit is network communication ready and X-Series visualisation ready for integration with Ingersoll Rand compressor controls.
The range covers five connection sizes: IX-02 (2 inch, 207 to 835 scfm), IX-03 (3 inch, 580 to 2,664 scfm), IX-04 (4 inch, 1,077 to 4,868 scfm), IX-06 (6 inch, 2,320 to 10,700 scfm) and IX-08 (8 inch, 4,144 to 19,200 scfm). All are rated to 200 psig and 150 °F with a maximum pressure turndown of 30%, and are supplied as a complete mounted and wired assembly with a 3-valve manual bypass with fittings and a c-UL NEMA 12 control panel. Appropriate storage is critical for proper IntelliFlow operation, so sizing of the receiver is part of the installation.
