Not every site needs the complexity of a full water-cooled installation, and that’s really the gap this category fills. Rotary contact cooled compressors use a simpler cooling approach than air- or water-cooled alternatives, which usually brings the price down for general workshop and light industrial use.
The trade-off shows up at higher duty cycles or larger capacities, where this type isn’t the best fit — at that point we’d normally steer customers toward our standard oil-flooded rotary screw range instead, which is built for continuous demand.
