Cordivari PUFFER Hot Water Buffer Tank 200 to 5,000 Litres

A buffer tank stores heated water between the heat source and the heating system, so the generator runs in longer, more efficient cycles and the system draws on the store as demand varies. Cordivari’s PUFFER range is made for this: it improves the flexibility and performance of pellet stoves, stoves and burners that run on a discontinuous energy source, and it reduces boiler cycling in domestic, commercial and industrial installations.

The tanks are mild steel, painted externally and intended for closed circuit installation, in models from 200 to 5,000 litres at a maximum working pressure of 4 or 6 bar depending on the model and a maximum working temperature of 99 °C. Two insulation options are offered: a hard version in ecological polyurethane foam, or a dismountable soft version in recyclable polyester fleece with a B-s2d0 fire rating to EN 13501, both finished with a grey PVC outer lining. Heating flow and return connections are 1½ inch up to 2,000 litres and 2 inch on the 3,000 and 5,000 litre tanks, with a G ½ inch instrumentation connection, an immersion heater connection and a drain on the two largest sizes.

The range falls under the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, net volumes are declared to EN 15332 and energy efficiency classes are B or C by model.
