Mi-Flues System 2 Twin Wall Insulated Flue System

The Mi-Flues System 2 is a factory-made twin wall insulated stainless steel chimney for residential, commercial and industrial heating, installed internally or externally as an independent chimney system. The 25 mm high-density insulation blanket keeps heat in the flue, so the flue gases stabilise quickly and the chimney draws strongly, with minimal thermal bridging between the liner and the outer body.

The flue liner is 316L grade stainless steel with molybdenum content for corrosion resistance and is designed to accommodate thermal expansion; the outer casing is 304 grade stainless steel, continuously seam welded and bright polished, carrying the structural load, with a black finish available as standard in 125 and 150 mm. Internal diameters run from 80 to 200 mm (125 to 250 mm external). The system is designated EN 1856-1 T450 N1 D Vm L50040 G60 and tested to EN 1859, soot fire resistant with a 60 mm distance to combustible materials, and suits solid fuel, biomass, oil and gas appliances; it is not for condensing applications.

Components push firmly together with the flue gas arrow pointing up and are secured with a locking band tightened by nut and bolt, so installation is quick and no cutting is required. The chimney connects to the appliance through a connecting flue pipe such as the Mi-Flues System 1 single wall flue and a System 2 start-off adaptor.
